As I sit here at Blues Kitchen watching Bryan Spellman teach, I realized Blues Shout is this weekend!! And I never published this update….grrrr! Ok, so here it is…
Online registration closed Wednesday, March 31. From now on, registration will be at the door only: $165 for the Full Event Pass, and dances can be bought a la carte, for a total of $95.

Attention Angelinos!! About a dozen of us are going to Blues Shout in Austin this year! It’s great to see more people traveling! There may be a shortage of FREE housing so we suggest if you’re thinking of sharing a hotel, renting a car etc the blues shout website has a discussion board or talk amongst yourselves and plan ahead! Check out the FB invite “Blues Shout-LA Invasion” to coordinate.

Housing sign-up is available as part of the registration process. Housing priority goes to folks who have paid, and we are already limited, so you’re not going to want to wait until the last minute.
You’ve got about two weeks to get those registrations in. With the airlines all putting out special deals, now is the time!

The bluesSHOUT! Task Force is excited to bring The Asylum Street Spankers to the stage for your dancing pleasure!
Austin is known for it’s vibrant live music community. We at bluesSHOUT! like to highlight local talent as well as bring you the best blues music around. The Spankers are one of the most elite blues and folk bands in the country, and we are lucky that they call Austin home.
The Spankers have been shoring up their blues music repertoire just for you, and will be crooning and rocking your blues socks off Saturday night at bluesSHOUT! This is NOT a show to miss!!
NOTE: The first set begins promptly at 9:00PM. Please plan to arrive early (doors will be open at 8:30PM) to enjoy the full show.
